Too Much Pillsbury Dough, No Problem!

The thing about living in the cayman islands is that when something is on sale its ‘cause it’s gonna expire soon. It’s often a fact I forget before purchasing a butt load of Pillsbury dough.

So that’s where this recipe started, with too much dough and a bit of Christmas spirit.

There’s not much to this tasty loaf. Buttery, flaky biscuits coated in fragrant rosemary and thyme baked with pockets of our deliciously  sweet and tart cranberry sauce

Equipment


Ingredients

  • 1 Pillsbury Honey Butter Biscuits
  • 2 Tbspn Margarine
  • 1 tspn Rosemary
  • 1 tspn Thyme
  • 1/4 - 1/2 Cranberry Sauce

Directions

Total Time: 45 minutes

Servings: 6 Servings.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF.
  2. Mix together melted butter, rosemary, and thyme.
  3. Cut each biscuit into quarters and place in a small bowl. Pour butter mixture over biscuits and toss until coated.
  4. In a greased loaf pan, place a third of the biscuits and spoon in dollops of cranberry sauce, filling the pockets between biscuit pieces. Repeat until all the biscuits are in the pan.
  5. Bake in the oven for 25 - 30 minutes, until golden brown.

Notes, Tips and Ideas!

  • If you have one of those pretty bundt pans, I would recommend using that for the extra wow factor. Double up the recipe so that it really fills up the pan when baked.
